EXPERIENCE ABOUT THE SCIENCE ROADSHOW!

The senior students of St Pius X School went to Tamaki College because we had to participate in this little show which was called “ THE SCIENCE ROADSHOW”. The reason why we had to go to this little show is because we had to try out different kind of science experiments which was pretty fun.

This show was to get our younger students to test out the experiments that were already provided for us. One of my favourite experiments was “WHAT’S IN THE BOX”. The reason why this was my favourite one is because I had to try and feel/discover what was in this dark and mysterious box.

The other students that were with us were trying different kind of experiment like word colour, what’s in the box, speedball and other station that were already provided for us to try.

After a long while at Tamaki College we all had to come back to our seats that we were provided at the beginning. What we had to do is listen to the people that were running the show because they were explaining to us and also showing us some experiments that we could not do.

A DAY AT THE SPARK HEAD QUATERS!!

On a beautiful and wonderful day some people from Room 7 and some people from Room 5 gathered together outside the Shelter, so we can get ready to go off to the Spark Head Office to do some activities with other schools.

Everyone was sitting down and waiting for the bus to arrive so we can head off to the Head Office of the Spark Foundation. Once the bus arrived everyone walked down really quite like there was a funeral happening. Finally everyone was boarded into the bus and got ready to leave, everyone was full of excitement and some people were just staring out the window like the world was going to end.

Finally we got to our final destination which was the Spark Foundation Head Office. Everyone was out of the bus and walked really quietly to the other side of the office because that is where all the people had to enter. Once we entered the Office there was a large crowd gathering, walking and shouting because they were all full of excitement because they wanted to see what we will be doing for example Science, Robotic and many more activities.

We did so much activities for example, robotic, unmaking, coding, 3d printing and many more. One of my favorite ones were Coding because we got a chance to make our own game using Scratch. Scratch is a website where you can create games.

Sacred Heart Interview!!

Today on a wonderful and sunny day my Aunty, my Dad and I went to my interview at Sacred Heart College in Glendowie. Once we entered the gate I was nervous because they might be asking me so many questions that I couldn't answer.  After that we got out of the car and went into the hall where all the different kind of people are wanting to enrol for Sacred Heart College. Once I walked into the hall I started to get butterflies because I was so shy and nervous.

A few minutes later Br Gerrard called out “ The Uiha Family “ once he called out my surname that when I almost started to run out of the large and massive building. So I walked into his office and he greeted me in such a nice way, that was the time I was comfortable talking to him. All he did was asking questions about school, about my Maths, my writing, music, sports and many.

I felt so comfortable during the interview because the questions that Br Gerrard asked me but after the interview I was happy and so grateful that the interview was over.

MOTHERS DAY LETTER!

MOTHERS ARE SPECIAL PEOPLE, VERY BUSY PEOPLE AND ALSO PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE MOST PASSIONATE HEARTS. BEING A WOMAN IS NOT AN EASY THING, BUT BEING A MOTHER IS EVEN MORE DIFFICULT, STILL THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL MOTHERS.

My wonderful Mother’s name is Vaelaveamata Kupu. My Mother is a person who likes to cook/bake also she is a person who loves to eat tongan food. She is responsible for 5 children which are Samuel, Helena, Anthony, Langiola and also me ( Joshua ). She was the person who taught me how to be a better person in school, taught me how to be polite to others and also she taught me how to cook scrambled eggs for me to eat in the morning for breakfast. Mata was the person who is always there for me whenever I am sick. I am the person who helps my Mum with the chores around the house. I am really honoured to be her Son because whatever nice things she says makes my day. My Mother is a person who loves to sing songs in the 90s but sometimes I really love to sing along with her. My Mum’s favourite colour is Blue, the reason why it is her favourite colour because it is the colour of the sky. I am so lucky to have a Mother like her because if I didn’t then I wouldn’t be here on this PLANET. I just want to take this time to say “ I LOVE YOU MUM “. To the best Mother in the planet

HOLIDAY WRITING!!

During the holidays I have been spending most of my time with my little family. On Friday the 30th of April my family and I went on a train ride. Once everyone woke up my Dad all told us to have breakfast really early because our train leaves at 10:30 in the morning. I told my Dad “ What train leaves at 10:30 in the morning? “ he snapped at me “ JUST DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD TO DO! “

Once everyone was ready we all hopped into the van and drove off to our destination which was Panmure Train Station/Bus Station. The van was crowded with 7 people which was a lot for me because having a lot of people in my family is a struggle for me. Once we got to the station we all went to pay our ticket and once we got the total we were all shocked because it was really expensive, so then we asked how much is it for the family pass, and guess what it was only $30.00 instead of $75.

Once we got our ticket we rushed downstairs and waited for our train. We waited and waited and I finally got bored, so I just went on my phone and took some pictures, played games - Racing games and etc.

While I was taking pictures I looked around and I saw that our train was on its way.

A few seconds later after we got on the train I took some pictures and had a nap because it was so boring. Once i woke up we already arrived at Britomart which was the last stop for the service, so we got off and waited for another train which will take us to Swanson which is in Waitakere. Once we got there the driver told us that it will be the last stop for the service, so we all got off the train and had to wait for 35 minutes for the other train to arrive. After that we went and stood at pathway and waited for the train. A few minutes later after hopping onto our next train I feel to sleep because I felt like there was nothing to do but sleep, so then I decided to go to sleep.

Once I woke up we arrived at Britomart which was our second to last destination. So then we got off the train and walked to Mcdonalds to have our lunch, to be honest I didn’t know what to order to guess what the word “ Big Mac “ came out of my mouth. I was so tired and hungry that I ate 1 Big Mac combo and 1 Cheeseburger.

Later on we had to go back to the station to come back to Panmure. Once we got to Panmure we had to hop off the train and walk to our car which was 15 minutes away from the station. Once we got home we all had a nap before we wake up and find something to eat. That day was the best day ever!!
