The Skytower is located in Auckland City.

2nd famous landmark in New Zealand is One Tree Hill - Known as the This Māungakiekie, it is also a sacred memorial ground for the Maori settlers. It used to have a single totara tree at the top but in the late 1800’s it was replaced by a pine tree. In the end of the 20th century the tree was attacked and destroyed twice and currently does have a tree. The reason why it is famous is because this is one of the tallest volcanic peaks in the city of Auckland. One Tree Hill is located in the North Island of New Zealand

  1. Wow, Joshua, you have chosen three excellent landmarks! I really enjoyed reading your post and I learned a lot about each of the three. In fact, I had no idea that the tree atop One Tree Hill had been destroyed twice. I sometimes go walking around the park at the base of the hill but I just thought that the tree had been destroyed once before it was removed. You have taught me something. Thanks!

    Cheers, Rachel
